Herrera delivered a spectacular performance at the XDA WPGC Bike Fest, capturing the Orient Express Racing Pro Street title after an unforgettable weekend. After leading qualifying with an impressive 6.232-second pass, he saved his best for last, blasting to a stunning 6.220-second run at 217.15 mph aboard the only nitrous-powered motorcycle in the Pro Street field.
Standing in the opposite lane was current points leader Jason Dunigan, whose turbocharged machine fired off an outstanding 6.311-second pass at an incredible 238.89 mph. It was the matchup fans had been waiting for—nitrous versus turbo, featuring the two quickest motorcycles in the class—and the championship showdown exceeded every expectation.
Herrera’s 6.220-second victory wasn’t just enough to earn the win. It established a new Pro Street motorcycle world record, making it the quickest pass ever recorded in the category. Earlier in the weekend, he had already set new benchmarks as the quickest and fastest nitrous-powered Pro Street motorcycle in history, capping off one of the most dominant performances the class has ever witnessed.
The championship final also highlighted the remarkable evolution of Pro Street motorcycle racing. A 6.220 versus 6.311 final round would have seemed unimaginable just a few years ago, but today it reflects the incredible advancements in technology, tuning, and rider talent that continue to push the sport to new heights.
