Hawaya Racing is headed to “The Rock” on Tuesday of next week for the spring Nitro Bike School, as well as the spring AMRA Rockingham national event. The Nitro Bike School continues to grow and gather momentum each and every class. This year we have two new supporters that are heavily involved in the motorcycle and racing business as well, Pingel Enterprises and CP Pistons. I asked Wayne and Donna Pingel last year to consider getting involved in the school, as we use many of their products on our race bikes and the school bikes in particular. Likewise, with Terry Stewart of CP Pistons. The school bikes take a beating and it takes quality parts to keep them going lap, after lap, after lap. We appreciate their dedication and support of our industry.
On the rider side of things, we have 8 riders and 5 crew members signed up for the spring class. 3 riders are from Australia including Niki Taube Zakrzewski, Gary McGuinness, and Justin Vodanovich. We also have Dan Ramage from Red Deer, Canada which will also be taking delivery of his new 2014 HRP built Pro Fuel bike and Cole Varty from Edson Alberta Canada. The 3 remaining pilots from the USA are Mark Snyder, John McConnell and Kenny Houk. Support crew for the pilots are Wayne McGuinness, Shane Davis, Jamey Varty, Shaun Mcgarry and our very own Janeane Diffin.
Hawaya Racing’s 2014 Fall Nitro Bike School is looking to be a great class as well. We currently have 6 rider positions left. The fall school will be held as always, at Rockingham Dragway in North Carolina on October 8-9-10- 2014, just prior to the AMRA Jim McClure Nitro Nationals on the 11th and 12th.
Hawaya Racing will be adding to the Rockingham AMRA purse in the Pro Fuel Class for both the May and October events at Rockingham. HRP will pay $100.00 to the event Winner, $100.00 for number one qualifier and $75.00 for Runner Up. We are looking forward to heads up racing at the “Rock” and look forward to seeing you all there!
We are proud to announce that CP Pistons and Pingle Enterprises have joined long time Nitro Bike school supporters, VP Racing Fuels, PAC Racing Springs, Vanson Leathers, Mickey Thompson Tires, Venom Group International, Pro Jack Bike Lifts, Lucas Oil and Vreeland’s Harley Davidson. The staff of the AMRA and Gary Rowe (Rockingham track photographer) will be on hand monitoring all school activities and taking photos during the school.
