Larry “Spiderman” McBride to Get Back on Top Fuel Bike after 14 Months

Larry "Spiderman" McBride

For 20-time Top Fuel Motorcycle champion and nitro drag bike racing legend Larry “Spiderman” McBride it feels like its been a lifetime since he made a run on his world record-holding motorcycle “Star.”

The last time we saw McBride in action was at the Man Cup Finals in Nov. 2020 where he defeated Mitch Brown in the final and established a new speed record at a staggering 265 mph.

Since then McBride was faced with a knee replacement, an appendectomy and health complications that kept his energy level low.

After his health took a turn for the better this past Fall, McBride and his team are poised for three days of testing at Palm Beach International Raceway in Jupiter, Fla., Feb. 8-10.

“I can’t tell you how much it means to me to get back to the track where I belong,” McBride said. “This has been one of the most difficult times of my life and I’m blessed and appreciative to be able to do what I love again.”

Please help us in welcoming the legend back to the saddle and stay tuned to the Cycledrag Youtube channel and Cycledrag Facebook page to watch coverage of the test session.

For all the continued support McBride thanked his primary sponsors; Trim-Tex Drywall Products, Pingel Enterprise, Drag Specialties-Parts Unlimited, Final Swipe Merchant Services, Web Camshafts, APE, Donnie and Julie Wilson and Kibblewhite Precision Machining.
