It’s been one of the busiest off-seasons of change in Pro Stock Motorcycle history. The latest episode of the tool box shuffle sends veteran racer Karen Stoffer to the team of 2016 class champion Jerry Savoie.

Stoffer, who was unsure if she would even compete this season now becomes an instant championship threat, assuming the saddle of one of the category’s hottest bikes, the former L.E. Tonglet-ridden Suzuki.

With the expert tuning of team crew chief Tim Kulungian and skillful riding, Tonglet has been a strong championship contender for the past two seasons.  Stoffer, the eight-time winner and 20-time finalist should be able tp pick up where Tonglet left off.

“We were contacted by Jerry and Tim and they made us an offer that was literally too good to refuse,” Stoffer told NHRA.com “Over the last few years we’ve all seen what the White Alligator team is capable of; they are a team that wins championships and I’m excited that I now get a chance to be a part of it.”

Stoffer has 11-career top ten finishes including a best of fifth in 2012.  She enjoyed a long and prosperous sponsorship with GEICO.

As for Savoie, the accomplished racer may run a limited schedule due to the demands of his successful business.

“Karen is the right fit for our program,” Savoie said. “It’s great to know the team will be in good hands if and when I’m not there.”
