op Fuel pilot Jasmine Salinas is one of several professional drag racers featured in a new docuseries co-produced by VICE TV and NHRA. Chasing Speed premieres this evening on VICE TV.
The six-episode series gives viewers an inside look at the sport of drag racing, following teams and drivers as they chase glory throughout the 2025 NHRA season. Each hour-long episode will showcase the high-intensity action on the track as well as what it takes behind the scenes to operate one of the most powerful machines on the planet. Jasmine’s storyline will connect the highs and lows she experienced during her tumultuous sophomore season.

“I’m excited to watch it along with everyone else,” Jasmine remarked. “It means a lot to me that they chose to highlight some of my drag racing journey. Most importantly, I’m happy that new audiences will get to see what makes this sport so special.”

After an encouraging start to the season in 2025, Jasmine had to sideline operations for a large portion of the year to seek funding. The spirited young driver focused on making the most out of every opportunity to sit behind the wheel of her 12,000-horsepower dragster. She achieved four semifinal finishes in just six events last season.
Chasing Speed pulls the curtain back on the raw speed, pressure, and personalities of NHRA Drag Racing. The new six-part docuseries premieres Wednesday, January 21, at 9:00 p.m. ET on VICE TV. Episodes will be shared on VICE’s YouTube channel 24 hours after initial airing
