The motorcycle drag racing community suffered a great loss with the passing of Donnie Huffman – a legendary Harley-Davidson racer and a great friend to many.

Huffman passed away on July 18, 2025 at his home with family by his side. He was born in Lakeland and has been a lifetime resident. Donald attended Kathleen High School and worked as mechanic for his family and locally owned Harley-Davidson dealership and as owner of Huffman Racing Inc. He was a 33 time National Champion Harley-Davidson drag racer.


Donald enjoyed all kinds of racing, fishing, boating, music, singing karaoke, building race bikes and playing golf. He loved traveling all over the country racing Harley’s for multiple organizations such as AMRA, ADBA and AHDRA for the last 35 years.








Donald is survived by his wife, Lisa Huffman; sons, James Donald (Michelle W.) Huffman, Donald E. Huffman, III; father, Donald E. Huffman, Sr. and grandchildren, Amiee Huffman, Michael Huffman and Alyssa Robinson; step mother, Faye Huffman; step sisters, Lisa Shiver and Tami (Rex). He is preceded in death by his mother, Janice C. Huffman.
