Atco Raceway Issues Statement on U.S. Nationals, Says Race Will go on Without the IDBL

The longest running motorcycle drag race in the country, the U.S. Nationals from Atco Raceway was originally scheduled to be a part of the IDBL series this season. Cycledrag.com learned this week through IRGSE’s (owners of the IDBL) Vice Chairman of the Board of Managers and CEO Chris Lencheski, Atco track owner Len Capone Sr. would not be able to host the event per NHRA.

Atco Raceway issued the following statement on their Facebook page –

“As many of you have already heard, Atco Dragway will NOT be a stop on the IDBL Motorcycle circuit in 2016.

Atco Dragway will continue, as promised, to host Motorcycle racers on Labor Day weekend! The race will revert back to its previous name, the Motorcycle US Nationals. We have been assured by IRG our scheduled weekend will not conflict with the IDBL series.

Want more info?? Of course you do, but you’ll have to wait until next week when we make some MAJOR announcements on the Motorcycle US Nationals at Atco Dragway! Hold onto your seats and grab a helmet because this is going to be one crazy ride…”
