In Pro Stock Motorcycle at Norwalk, Ohio’s Summit Motorsports Park, Gaige Herrera extended his impressive streak from Bristol by posting the fastest times in both qualifying sessions on Friday in Norwalk. He recorded a top run of 6.779 seconds at 199.64 mph on his RevZilla/Motul/Vance & Hines Suzuki.
After missing out on a No. 1 qualifier in the early races, Herrera is now on pace for his second consecutive top qualifying spot. He was one of only two riders to break into the 6.70-second range on Friday. Coming off a victory in Bristol, Herrera aims to keep his momentum going at Summit Motorsports Park, where he also won during his 2024 championship campaign.

“It’s not quite back to normal, but it feels good. We’ve been struggling a bit, but some changes to the bike have helped, so hopefully, I’ll have the same setup for the sunny conditions tomorrow,” Herrera said. “I’ve had a string of bad luck with parts breaking—it’s been one issue after another. Andrew (Hines, crew chief) has been reviewing his notes closely and I think they’ve found something that works for the field.”

Joey Gladstone, filling in for Matt Smith for the second race in a row, sits second with a 6.795 at 198.70 mph, while Angie Smith holds third after a 6.805 run at 200.11 mph.
Qualifying resumes at 12 p.m. ET on Saturday at the Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals at Summit Motorsports Park. The first round of the GETTRX Pro Stock All-Star Callout kicks off at 11:30 a.m.
