New Electric Speed Record Established

Leading electric dragster racer and cancer survivor Steve Huff left his Seattle, Wash. shop in mid-February with one goal in mind – run over 201.37 mph to take the overall electric speed record. 







The first stop was NHRA’s Arizona Nationals at Wild Horse Pass in Chandler, Ariz., where Huff ran into the high 190s, followed by a long trek to Gainesville, Fla. for the Gatornationals, where cold, soggy weather held Huff back from the track time he needed to take a legitimate shot at the record. 







That’s when a call was made to Ozzy Moya of Orlando Speed World Dragway to see Huff could get some more record attempts before heading back to the other side of the country.
