Larry “Drums” Brancaccio was involved in an accident after running off the end of the drag strip during the second round of Nitro Harley qualifying Friday night at the Nitro Jam Summer Nationals at Cordova International Raceway in Cordova, Ill., May 29.
The Nutley, New Jersey, rider was transported to the University of Iowa hospital. “Drums” is in stable condition but has suffered fractures.
IHRA president Scott Gardner said, “Based on this type of accident, I’m very thankful for the likelihood of his recovery.”
