Gearhead Publishing Adds Contingency to Sturgis

 

– The Western Motorcycle Drag Racing Association (WMDRA) is pleased to welcome Gearhead Publishing as a contingency sponsor for the 2013 AMSOIL Sturgis Nationals. Gearhead will provide all class winners with their book Motorcycle Drag Racing: A History and the Gearhead Publishing Street E.T. class will be contested on August 5-7 at Sturgis Dragway, with winner, runner up, and semi-finalists receiving a copy of the book.

 

“The WMDRA is honored to provide our racers and some lucky drag racing fans the opportunity to own such a collectible piece of history,” according to WMDRA President Sandra Alberti. “We’re very excited to share a history of our sport with those who are making tomorrow’s history in our sport today.”

 

Motorcycle Drag Racing: A History author John Stein said, “Motorcycle drag racing is a fascinating sport, and no group is more passionate about it than the WMDRA. We couldn’t think of a better organization to partner with.”

 

The 2013 AMSOIL Sturgis Nationals will take place on August 5-7, 2013 at Sturgis Dragway, located at 20523 Hwy 79, just off Hwy 34 between the Full Throttle and Buffalo Chip. A full schedule of activities will be published on the WMDRA and Sturgis Motorcycle Rally websites this summer.
