2023 Sturgis Buffalo Chip Charity Events Raise Nearly $370,000

A total of $369,273 has made its way into the hands of worthy causes from 2023 Sturgis Buffalo Chip charity events thanks to the extreme generosity of the motorcycling community.

The grand total raised for charity during the Sturgis Rally by Buffalo Chip charity events now exceeds $2.3 million, which has greatly benefitted children, veterans and the Black Hills community over the years.

“One of the coolest gifts for the holidays is the reminder that the motorcycle community never stops giving to worthwhile causes,” said Sturgis Buffalo Chip President Rod Woodruff. “The only gift better than that is the benefits that local charities receive thanks to the kindness of the motorcyclists visiting us each year for the rally.”

Charities that received funds in 2023 include South Dakota Special Olympics – Rapid City Flame, Sturgis Motorcycle Museum and Hall of Fame, Shriners Transportation Fund, All Kids Bike, Motorcycle Missions, Moto Go, Helping with Horsepower, The Jesse Combs Foundation, The NASCAR Foundation, and direct-to-veteran donations through the Freedom Celebration.

Sturgis Buffalo Chip charity events are designed to provide fun experiences while also benefiting worthy causes. Events in 2023 included the Buffalo Chip Freedom Celebration, Legends Ride®, Legends Lunch, Biker Belles®, Rusty Wallace Ride™ and Flying Piston Builders Breakfast.

All Buffalo Chip charity events are slated to return in 2024. In addition to these events, Buffalo Chip guests can experience world-class entertainment, thrilling events, legendary rides, powerful freedom celebrations, top-tier bike shows, heart-pounding stunts, white-knuckle racing events and more during the 2024 event. The festival runs Aug. 2-11, 2024. For a full list of Sturgis Buffalo Chip events, see BuffaloChip.com/EVENTS.
