The quickest no wheelie bar bikes in the world can be found in Outlaw Pro Street
- one of the most unpredictable and captivating categories in all of drag
racing. The class is comprised of push button start, stock-cradled
machines limited to just a seven-inch wide motorcycle slick. These volatile
bikes can do everything from breaking into the six-second zone to popping the
front wheel about seven-feet-high in the air.
The high fuel prices and exodus of prominent competitors from the category has
put a strain on Outlaw. For 2008 MIROCK officials increased the purse to
$3,000 to win and $1,000 for finishing runner-up to ensure the class continues
to prosper.
